sold out

This large coprolite was found on the beach at Lyme Regis in 2024, and contains a fish spine with multiple vertebrae and a pectoral fin, as well as multiple fish scales. This shows that the creature was eating predominantly fish in the Jurassic oceans. This Coprolite most likely comes from a marine reptile - either ichthyosaur or plesiosaur. Coprolites are fossilised faeces and have improved palaeontologist’s understanding on the lives of marine reptiles by studying what they ate. Approximately 195 million years old.
