Asteroceras Obtusum
This ammonite was found on the beach at Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset in 2024, and has been prepared shell-off to reveal an unusual mottled colouration of the calcite that the ammonite is preserved in, with red, orange and cream colours. These ammonites are world famous for the beautiful range in colours that they can possess. The stone has also been shaped to compliment the ammonite, which sits towards the centre of the stone.
