Asteroceras Obtusum and Promicroceras Ammonites
This piece was found at Charmouth on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset in 2024, and has been aesthetically sculpted to compliment all 3 ammonites in the stone. The smaller promicoceras ammonites likely came to rest next to the larger asteroceras as it acted as a small obstacle on the seafloor. The ammonites have been prepared shell-off to highlight the beautiful calcite colours that these ammonites are world famous for. A lovely display piece.
