Promicroceras Ammonites
Two promicroceras ammonites from the Jurassic Coast of Dorset, England. These ammonites were initially found in a large stone on the beach at Charmouth and have been carefully prepared shell-off to reveal the beautiful yellow and reddish/brown calcite colours. These two ammonites have been entombed in the stone with each other for over 196 million years. The rock has a cut-base so that the piece can be displayed without the need of a stand.
Fossil dimensions: largest: 17mm, smallest 15mm
Rock dimensions: 8x6x3cm
