Marine Reptile Coprolite

This coprolite was found on the beach at Lyme Regis in 2022, and displays multiple fish scales, highlighting what the creature was eating in the Jurassic oceans. This Coprolite most likely comes from a marine reptile - either ichthyosaur or plesiosaur. Coprolites are fossilised faeces and have improved palaeontologist’s understanding on the lives of marine reptiles by studying what they ate. Approximately 195 million years old.
