This Ammonite was found on the beach at Charmouth on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset in 2022, and displays some lovely colours. These asteroceras obtusum ammonites are world famous for their beautiful colours and have been collected by fossil hunters for over 2 centuries. The ammonite has been prepared mostly shell-off to highlight the calcite colours beneath. The stone also has a cut-base so that it can be displayed without the need of a stand.
Approximately 195 million years old.
