Promicroceras ammonite from the Jurassic Coast of Dorset, England. This fossil was initially found on Charmouth beach, and has been carefully prepared to reveal the fossil for the first time in 196 million years. The ammonite shell has been removed so that the reddish/brown calcite colours beneath can be seen. The rock has a cut-base so that the piece can be displayed without the need of a stand.
