Ichthyosaur Neck Vertebra
This Ichthyosaur neck vertebrae was found on the beach at Lyme Regis in 2024 and likely comes from very close to the back of the skull. The white “flecks” in the bone are where calcite has infilled the holes in the bone where blood vessels were. Ichthyosaurs has roughly 180 of these vertebrae in their body. Approximately 195 million years old.
